I am sure that I am tripped up somewhere.<br /><br />And if Arius had stuck to Jesus, then he would have been correct. There was a time when he was not. As John puts it, "The Word became flesh," after which John never uses "the Word" again (since the Word has become something else) and starts to use the name Jesus (or "the Son" or a similar term). <br /><br />But perhaps even then words fail us and our language is that of metaphor and analogy. <br /><br />Maybe I should stick to apophatic contemplation - it is beyond words.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12849504221997598801noreply@blogger.com
